Fusion between Street Art and Fashion Muses

Station 16 Gallery presents solo exhibition by Stikki Peaches – The Bootleggers II.

Stikki Peaches inspires by iconic fashion figures for this exhibition where the influence of his past in the fashion industry is very present. We can see in this series: Yves Saint Laurent, Vivienne Westwood, Coco Chanel and much more. These unique pieces are made with multiple techniques: collage, acrylic painting and serigraphy. The singularity of his works come from the addition of unconventional objects such as pot lids, toys from his childhood, aerosol tips and other materials found in his studio.

To add to the uniqueness, Stikki collaborated with the Bespokenov House to include textile embellishments in three of his works. We find a 24k gold embroidery corset, a gold buckle and raffia braiding on Vivienne Westwood, a beautiful handmade silk flower on Coco Chanel and an ostrich and rooster feathers, silk ribbon and metal stud on John Galliano. The exhibition reveals two masks, “The Messenger” and “The Birth”, from a collaboration in progress through which several key figures, inspirations and influences of the work of Stikki Peaches are interpreted and made by House Bespokenov. Each piece stimulate the observer to stop, to question, and to leave a smile on their face.

Another immersive experience where the visitor gets to know more about the universe of the masked artist.

In collaboration with Maison Bespokenov, the exhibition « The bootleggers II» will run until April 28, 2018 at the Station 16 Gallery.
